Greetings, heroes of the Multiverse!

What a year we've had already! We shipped out everything in the first month or so, and have even followed up with the few stragglers. At this point, this everyone who backed this Kickstarter should have their rewards! (If something weird happened and you still don't have it, definitely e-mail us please! [email protected] I really want everyone to have this game!) The core games have all been sent out, and now they're making their way into the wild, showing up on shelves in friendly local gaming stores and getting played in all manner of spaces! Thank you so much to all of you for making this possible.

If you're looking for more Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition content, have no fear! There's an expansion that we just launched on Kickstarter this morning! Rook City Renegades brings 6 gritty Heroes, 9 terrifying Villains, and 5 hazardous Environments to the Definitive Edition of Sentinels of the Multiverse! The campaign runs until the end of March, and there are a lot of reveals planned along the way, so go check it out!

Thank you again! You backers made it possible for us to bring this biggest and best version of Sentinels to the world! Thanks for making the Multiverse a better place!

Keep on saving the Multiverse!

Games of the present, and games of the future!
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Feb 03, 2022 at 11:57:20 AM

It's February! I haven't talked to you folks in so long!

Most of you have received your Definitive Edition by now, and I've gotten lots of exciting reports about how well it plays, which is, of course, thrilling. Keep it up!

For those of you that don't have it... soon! If you live in the US and you don't have it by the end of this week, please e-mail us at [email protected]. If you live outside the US and don't have it by the end of next week, please e-mail us. Same e-mail address!

A question I've seen a few times is how to fit everything in the box sleeved. Good news! I wrote an update all about that! If you're not sure where the character cards went between the second-to-last and the last image, the hero cards are turned on their side next to the black box, and the villain and event cards went into the black box. It all fits!

If you want it to fit a bit better, you could always get another box of about the same size, but with a bit fewer cards in it (not a LOT fewer, though, to be honest) and divide your cards between the two boxes. Heroes, tokens, and character cards in one box, villains and environments in the other. Sounds pretty great, right?

Well, good news! As some of you eagle-eyed folks have noticed, the back of the lore book announces the Rook City Renegades expansion, which we will have more news about over the course of this month! Coming soon!

Remember, if you have any questions or issues, don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]. And keep on saving the Multiverse!

The Last Transport is Away!
almost 3 years ago – Mon, Jan 31, 2022 at 07:19:17 PM

Good afternoon, everyone!

I am incredibly pleased to announce that all* of the backer rewards for this campaign have been shipped out**! Hooray!

But wait, you say, eyes narrowing. What are those asterisks doing in that sentence? That makes something that sounds good seem suspicious, instead.

Yeah, you're right, but they're really not that bad, in truth. Let me knock those out real quick here:

*A few people still haven't filled out their BackerKit. So, yeah, we can't send anything to you if you don't do that. Also there are a few people who are in communication with Bailey about their orders, updating addresses, etc. You know who you are. Or, at least, you should? If you don't know who you are, I don't know that I'm the one to help you with that. ANYWAY. There are a single digit number of order that haven't shipped out, either due to lack of BackerKit response or other artisanal reasons.

**This doesn't mean you all have them in hand! Just that they've been shipped out. They've left our warehouse. They still must journey to you.

That second set of asterisks is super key. Please don't all e-mail us to say "wait, I don't have it yet!" Yes. We know. Many of you don't yet have the shipment. BUT! You will so! It's on its way! Give it at least a week before beginning the panic process.

So, that's all for now — just wanted to let you know the exciting news! I'll still have an update the first Tuesday in February, which is just in a few days. And of course, as always, if you have any questions, please reach out to us at [email protected].

I'm excited to see everyone saving the Multiverse! Definitively!

Definitive Edition Shipping Update
about 3 years ago – Wed, Jan 05, 2022 at 09:00:18 PM

Good morning, everyone.

This is a good news / bad news post, and unfortunately, there's more bad than good.

Good news: a couple thousand of you have already received your games! And more are on their way! Hooray!

Bad news: our warehouse operations came to a crashing halt at the end of last week due to Covid. We have multiple confirmed cases of Covid, and thus everyone has been exposed. Anyone with confirmed Covid is home quarantining. Everyone else is being careful, following procedures with distancing, sanitization, and masking. Fortunately, everyone here at GTG is vaccinated and boosted, but this Omicron variant is no joke, folks.

Besides the health aspects of this bad news, it also means that the Definitive Edition shipping process is going to start slowing down. That's a huge bummer, we know — it's going to really hurt us, as well. We're looking into options to keep things moving at any semblance of a regular pace, but the reality is that being down in human numbers and the few that are here being extra careful and distanced will absolutely result in further delays. My genuine hope is that we'll be 100% done with the shipout before the end of this month, but all I can promise on that front is that we're doing everything we can while still being as safe as possible.

I hope to post another update before the end of this month. If I get to, that will mean I'm posting the "Good news! The shipout is entirely done and all packages are en route!" update. Otherwise, I'll be back with another update on the first Tuesday in February. Fingers crossed for better news by then.

Stay safe and healthy, everyone. The Multiverse needs you.

Shipping is happening! Finally!
about 3 years ago – Fri, Dec 31, 2021 at 08:32:58 PM

Good morning, everyone!

I'll have another full update for you fine folks next week, as regularly scheduled, but I wanted to let you know that we finally received everything we needed last week! What a time to get a ton of stuff, am I right?

Anyway, now that we have it all in hand, we began shipping things out as of yesterday! Stuff is moving! It'll take at least a couple weeks to get everything out the door, as it's a big shipout, but we're rocking and rolling!

International Shipping Note!

Because of how some import/export rules are changing in various countries next year (*cough cough* the UK *cough cough*), we're handling all of the shipping for this campaign internally! That means that every game sent out as a result of this Kickstarter will be shipped from out HQ here in St. Louis. That means things are going to move faster internationally than they usually do! Hooray!

Earlier in the Kickstarter campaign, we planned to charge VAT to backers via BackerKit after the campaign ended. However, given some changes with how VAT is calculated and charged, there is unfortunately not currently a good way for us to accurate calculate that amount via BackerKit. That means that customers outside of the US and UK might wind up with VAT charges on delivery, depending on how a given country handles import fees. However, since we committed to covering VAT fees for UK backers on the campaign, we'll cover any charges that are incurred by UK backers. Hopefully that means that UK backers won't be charged for VAT and that the bill will come directly to GTG, but if you do wind up getting charged in the UK, let us know!

If you end up getting charged something weird as a result of this, please reach out to [email protected] and we'll get you sorted ASAP.

I look forward to updating you all more on how shipping is proceeding in one week!
